How's your stress level these days? Take a lesson from Bryn Mawr Hospital nurses Barbara Notte, RN, BSN, HN-BC, and Carol Fazzini, RN,C, who serve on the Main Line Health Healthy Work Environment Council. The council promotes a healthier workforce through supportive and innovative programs empowering staff to find balance in their personal and professional lives.

Together they have written the “10 Steps to Reduce Stress.”

10 Steps to Reduce Stress
1. Take deep breaths
2. Move around (aerobic exercise, walk, run, dance, yoga,  swim, Tai-chi)
3. Journal
4. Read
5. Meditate
6. Eat regular meals
7. Make healthy food choices (snack wisely!)
8. Sleep 6 to 8 hours a night
9. Soak in a long, luxurious bath
10. Get a massage

If activity is up your alley, check out the exercise classes offered through Main Line Health, such as "Stretch Your Limits" for adults age 55 and older at Bryn Mawr Hospital as well as yoga, pilates and zumba at the Riddle Hospital Fitness Center.
